How do you draw? Do you need a lot of sketches or do you go straight to the computer?
I do pretty much everything in Photoshop.
Many people do, but I think that 99% of the Japanese illustrators still start on paper. If you have that ability to do a good drawing on paper, there is certainly a material satisfaction to it and it feels a lot nicer to have something solid. All I have is a paper print out – that is it. Doing everything in Photoshop has a lot of advantages, though and more and more people do the same.

Additionally, Suitcase Fusion now includes a Competitive Products Manager feature for eliminating unexpected font management issues and has added a Transportable Font Vault for empowering moveable backups of a user’s font library, including custom metadata.

Quark is about to release a Universal Binary for Mac users. The QuarkXPress 7.01 Universal Binary release will be available as a free update for existing QuarkXPress 7 customers at no additional cost.
Save a PDF file as a Word document, HTML file, or image
Adobe PDF isn’t necessarily the end of the road for your documents. You can use a PDF document for a variety of purposes, and then pass it through various programs. For example, you can create a document in Microsoft Word, convert it to a PDF using PDFMaker, and then export it from Adobe Acrobat as an HMTL Web page that includes JPEG images.

CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X3 curriculum is designed to teach students how to integrate graphics and images into virtually every aspect of their schoolwork, providing them with essential skills that will serve them in any field later in life. Created for students in middle and high school, this complete program features integrated lesson plans that link directly into core curriculum with unit studies and video training, as well as cognitive and interpersonal skills development. Each complete program includes lynda.com training videos, practice sheets, worksheets, lesson plans, and templates to help teachers prepare students for successful business careers.

The curriculum will be geared primarily to Middle School (grades 7 – 9) and High School (grades 10 – 12), although lessons can be adapted to younger grades.
