Smooth video with Diskeeper 10 Professional Premier

Initially, the video recordings on my Beyond TV PVR ran very smoothly, but over time, the recordings started to stutter during playback. I realized that disk defragmentation on my 2×400 Gb striped RAID was probably affecting my standard video and 9 Gb/hour HDTV recordings. I decided to use Diskeeper 10 Professional Premier to help smooth out the videos since this version can work with disk volumes up to 2 terabytes in size. Since I’ve installed Diskeeper 10 Professional Premier, I’ve had no problems with video playback performance due to Diskeeper’s scheduled daily disk defrag. In addition to PVR drives, I would suggest using Diskeeper 10 Professional Premier for those wishing to maintain optimum drive performance for their video application programs such as the Adobe Production Studio Premium or Avid Xpress Pro. Diskeeper 10 Professional Premier can also optimize overall system performance by minimizing the dreaded disk churn of a heavily fragmented drive.
